As a member of the artistic-research collective Mehiläisten seura (Bee company), Matt Parker has been selected to represent Finland at PQ2023 (Prague Quadrennial).
The Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space was established in 1967 to bring the best of design for performance, scenography, and theatre architecture to the front line of cultural activities to be experienced by professional and emerging artists as well as the general public. Bee company asks the question: what can a multidisciplinary arts collective learn from non-human ways of living, working and being creative? Bee company membership includes the honeybees of Tullisaari Manor Park, and six artists from Oxford Brookes University, The Finnish Museum of Natural History, Aalto University, Oslo National Academy of the Arts, and the Centre for New Circus.
