With her students, Amy participated in a collaborative project between Oxford Brookes FAD and  Elizabeth Abere, CEO and Founder of Molaloche Concepts, a textile craft business based in Lagos, Nigeria.Working in the studio at Brookes, students created handmade pieces taught through Zoom by Elizabeth. Together, they made headdresses and beaded bracelets using traditional techniques: some of the moments in this journey are depicted in this slideshow. Whilst also sharing stories and connecting through the shared experience of making, participants learnt about the importance of people and handmade skills in the pursuit of a more sustainable future.
