C.M. Taylor’s Debut Exhibition Slow & Spurious Comes to Fusion Arts

Award-winning experimental filmmaker and Senior Lecturer in Publishing C.M. Taylor (Craig Taylor) brings his debut visual art and film exhibition, Slow & Spurious, to Fusion Arts, Oxford, from 5 to 8 November.

Inspired by the philosophy of “the slow and the spurious, not the fast and the furious”, Taylor creates zero-budget, award-winning experimental short films. The filmmaking process also generates distinctive pieces of visual art, which will be exhibited alongside their corresponding films for the first time.

The exhibition features Le Jazz, an experimental film exploring art and sound, and The Flags of Nalbandia, a cinematic exploration of imaginary nationhood and the creation of flags. By bringing moving images and physical artworks together, Slow & Spurious offers visitors a glimpse into both the creative process and its outcomes.
