Northern Earth presents Oxfordshire Otherwise, an evening exploring alternative ways of experiencing and interpreting place through art, film, music and writing. The event takes place on Thursday, 5 November 2026, at Fusion Arts, Oxford.
Bringing together artists, musicians, filmmakers and writers, the event offers a diverse programme of performances, talks and creative explorations of landscape and place.
The line-up includes several contributors from Oxford Brookes University’s School of Arts, alongside acclaimed local artists and practitioners:
- Paul Whitty, composer, sound researcher and Head of the School of Arts at Oxford Brookes University.
- C.M. Taylor (Craig Taylor), award-winning experimental filmmaker and Senior Lecturer in Publishing at Oxford Brookes University.
- Sharron Kraus, multi-instrumentalist musician.
- Sara Dudman, a “nomadic-sporadic” artist, whose creative practice will be explored in a special film by Hannah Earl.
- Andrew Chapman, writer and psychogeographer.
- The evening will also mark the official launch of Slow & Spurious, C.M. Taylor’s film and visual art project, bringing together experimental filmmaking and the physical artworks created through the process.
